In order for CPUK to attract and retain qualified and motivated staff with the required skills and experience to carry forward the clients’ business objectives, it recognizes that it is essential that the Recruitment Manager works within a well defined recruitment policy.

CPUK aims to work at all times within current employment legislation and the Industry’s best practice guidelines to ensure a fair and equitable recruitment process. We therefore undertake the following:

  • We seek original copies of identification / appropriate work permits, visas and training, on all applicants.
  • We thoroughly investigate references including employment gaps and verify qualifications.
  • We conduct competence–based interviews and our recruitment process reflects our recognition of the need for workers to have communication skills that are appropriate to the assignment.
  • We obtain a signed medical declaration.
  • We request and obtain Criminal Records Bureau checks on all staff.
  • Every worker is given a comprehensive worker profile complying with CSCI requirements.
  • Every worker is given an identity badge with a photograph to ensure security in your work place.
  • Every worker is offered mandatory training in the following:
    Moving and Handling, Emergency First Aid, Health and Safety, Infection Control, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety.
